Story

I’m taking part in the Deadly Dozen this July to raise money for Samaritans in memory of my Grandad. I’m partnering with one of my best pals, Danny; which means i’ll be taking on the ‘mens weights’ this time.

My Grandad passed away on Boxing Day last year quite unexpectedly. I didn’t get to say goodbye.

He was my biggest supporter of everything I did, but mostly of my fitness journey and choice to be a personal trainer. He used to weightlift himself when he was younger and continued using the gym well into his 80s. He was also a Samaritan and loved helping others - whether those who rang in or his fellow ‘Sam’s’ with training.

He was always there to talk to and would always listen and offer advice, or just a big hug and a “Whatever happens just try your best, you’ll be great”.

So on the 4th July this year, I’m going to try my best and I’m sure I’ll be great.

Please give what you can to help this amazing charity save lives. We all know someone who has struggled.
