Why?

Last year, Hannah had a seizure at work and we later found out she has a brain tumour. She is now undergoing chemotherapy with incredible strength and positivity.

The care and support provided through Cardiff and Vale Health Charity has meant so much during this time, so we wanted to give something back.

While Hannah focuses on her treatment, I’ll be taking on a half marathon on her behalf. As a zookeeper, animals are her world so I’ll be running dressed as a skunk (her favourite animal at the zoo!) 🦨

We’re doing this together to raise money for an amazing charity that supports patients and families when they need it most.

About the Charity

Cardiff and Vale Health Charity manages over 300 funds that support equipment, research, treatment and patient care across local hospitals. Donations help fund projects and services that go above and beyond standard NHS funding.

From cutting-edge research and specialist equipment to improving hospital environments with art, music and refurbished spaces, the charity helps make difficult times a little more comfortable for patients and their families. Funding also supports staff wellbeing initiatives recognising the incredible clinical teams who care for people every day.
