Hannah's fundraising for Dyslexia Sparks

Hannah Page is raising money for Dyslexia Sparks

My Tri-Yorkshire Challenge - Walking the Humber Bridge on 20th August 2026 (32 weeks pregnant and terrified of heights), Baby and I Yorkshire coast walk Spring 2027 & Yorkshire 3 Peaks Summer 2027

Our charity's mission is to help people fulfil their potential, through dyslexia assessments, tuition and training. By identifying strengths and learning needs of individuals, we enable them to overcome any barriers to success. Our support also extends to families, schools and organisations.

Story

As someone who grew up in Yorkshire and was lucky enough to be supported on my dyslexia journey from a young age I am spending the next 18 months I will be embarking on my Tri-Yorkshire Challenge fundraising for Dyslexia Sparks so others get the support they need.

On the 20th August 2026, 32 weeks pregnant, I am kicking off my fundraising activities by walking the Humber Bridge - a challenge I honestly never thought I would take on as I hate heights - they often give me panic attacks but with some determination and support from my husband fingers crossed! I have declined the opportunity many times growing up but think it is time to tackle it for a good cause.

In Spring 2027 Baby and I will be walking some of the Yorkshire Coast.

Finishing in style; I will be walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks in Summer 2027.

Every donation, big or small, goes directly towards Dyslexia Sparks's work. Thank you for your support. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.

Alongside my fundraising L Marks has run a Hackathon to uncover how technology can support people with dyslexia. The output of this will be shared with Dyslexia Sparks and any other interested groups. The team used their knowledge and skills to think about how best to support young people and their families using tech solutions available today (that certainly weren’t available 30 years ago when I was diagnosed.
