My Mental Elf Fundraiser

5k Run/Walk · 8 December 2024
Help me raise vital funds for our local mental health charity!
Those close to me know that I’ve struggled with my mental health over recent years, with this week being the most challenging one yet. Monday came along and I didn’t want to exist anymore. I developed a stutter from the anxiety that I was feeling. I felt as though nothing was ever going to get better. After some medication, and a good talking to from my doctor, I am now on the right track, and counselling sessions will help going forward. However, I still have a long way to go. Mental health is something that I am very passionate about; not only has it affected myself but also others who are close to me.
I don’t run, I never have. I was one of those girls who tried to dodge the 100 metre race in school, but for some reason I thought I’d give this one a go! I may walk most of it, I may run some of it, but I am determined to do it. So if anyone could donate a penny or two I would be very grateful! Thank you❤️
Each year, 1 in 4 people experience a mental health problem, and Mid Cheshire Mind have been working hard to support those in need. I want to support them and I need your help.
I'm running in their Christmas Fun Run, Mental Elf. A 5km fun run where we all dress up and tackle the route through Reaseheath College. if you can spare a few pounds to help their vital work, it would be greatly appreciated. Even just £5 can help them continue to operate their helpline so people can access support when needed.
Thank you for your support, and wish me luck on the route!
