Story
Welcome to my TCS London Marathon #TeamHDA fundraising page.
I will be taking part in the 2026 TCS London Marathon to help HDA support people living with Huntington's disease in England and Wales.
Hi,
My names Hannah. I have been given the absolute privilege of running in the London Marathon 2026! Call me crazy but I am beyond thankful and so incredibly pleased to be given this opportunity. I will be running for all those affected by Huntington's disease but also for a personal reason.
You see this challenge means so much more than pushing my limits. I am doing this to raise money for the Huntington’s Disease Association, an organisation very close to my heart. Huntington’s has affected my family immensely. We lost my nan to Huntington's at just 51. At a young age my dad got diagnosed with the disease, in his later years he faced the daily struggle to remain out of hospital. In August 2018 my dad lost his battle and closed his eyes for the last time, at just 50 years old, breaking the hearts of us left behind. Just two short weeks after my dad passed, my younger brother at 27 years old got the news we were all dreading, he had inherited the faulty gene and would go on to face a life battling just as our dad did. This resulted in his children then being at risk for their futures. We suffered yet another blow, the news that my brothers 8-year-old son had inherited the faulty gene, resulting in Juvenile Huntingtins Disease.
So, you see, pushing my limits and running the 26 miles is nothing compared to what my dad went through daily and what my family members continue to go through.
If you can donate to this worthy cause you’ll be helping those living with this disease and their families receive support from the HDA who do such incredible work. You'll be helping me reach my target of £10,000. Every penny is going to the HDA and the wonderful work they do. Every penny raised will push me to the end.
My family and I have made it our life's mission to raise money to help family's living with Huntington's! Lets do this together!
From Me to You, Thankyou!
