Hannah's fundraiser for St Rocco's Hospice

Sheffield Half Marathon 2025 · 23 March 2025 ·
In March 2025, I will be running Sheffield Half Marathon - my very first half marathon.
I have decided to take on this race in honour of my Grandma, Kathleen who passed away in October 2024 after a brave battle with cancer. She was an amazing woman and a very special person in my life.
Those who know me know that long distance running is not my thing - anything above 5km and I begin to moan and want to stop! Therefore, this will be a huge challenge for me and I will be doing 3 months of solid training to ensure I make Grandma proud.
This challenge is about more than remembering my Grandma. I'm raising money for St Rocco's Hospice in Warrington, the hospice which provided comfort and care during Grandmas final weeks. Grandma also volunteered at St Roccos during her retirement and held the hospice close to her heart. I know how grateful my Grandma was for their services and care. Every penny raised will go towards helping them continue their vital work in supporting people with life-limiting illnesses, as well as caring for their families.
I am determined to succeed and will take huge pride in raising funds for St Roccos Hospice, my way of saying thank you for all their amazing work. I would be very grateful if you are able to donate anything at all.
Thank you for your support,
Hannah
