Story
Hi everyone!
My name is Hannah Pritchett, I am 20 years old and I am a victim of knife crime.
On Saturday the 21st of May 2022, at age 18, I went to work to do an extra shift at my part time job, working as a waitress at a pub. Within one hour of working, my boss stabbed me twice for no reason other than her own delusion.
I was stabbed once in my left hip and once in my lower back. I was extremely lucky to survive as my injuries could have been life changing and as we were on our way to the hospital we were unsure on what the outcome would be. This took place 4 days before my birthday and in the middle of dance competitions.
In October 2022, I testified against my boss in court and she was found guilty of attempted murder, GBH with intent and possession of a weapon in a public place.
I am still not fully healed, but am working towards this point. I think that raising awareness for knife crime is so important to stop things like what happened to myself, happening to others.
Throughout the month of December, myself and my Dad will be. walking 10,000 steps every day to raise money for the Ben Kinsella trust. The Ben Kinsella Trust is an amazing foundation that works with young people to educate them on the consequences of knife crime and the impact it can have on others.
I would appreciate any donations and support through this time, and the people I have surrounding me have made this possible and helped me push through this past 18 months with a positive mindset.
