Story
After being diagnosed with PCOS at 16 and being given no help or options apart from going on the pill and coming back to get treatment when I wanted to have children, supporting other women with the condition is something I’m really passionate about. It took me 4 years of personal research, lifestyle changes and 3 different doctors to finally be referred to a specialist to discuss my options (of which there are very few). The condition is so under researched and I constantly find myself wishing I had more resources, information and treatment options available.
PCOS is so much more than just a fertility issue, it affects mental health, physical appearance and hormonal health on top of the reproductive factors it comes with. I have periods of struggling with my physical health and fatigue due to my PCOS and after signing up for Liverpool half marathon this year I decided I would really love to raise money for a charity dedicated to supporting women living with the condition and I hope you can help, if not by donating then by sharing my page! xx
