My sister Evie is currently in hospital after suffering two strokes caused by an AVM, which led to her needing emergency brain surgery.

Throughout it all, the doctors, nurses and all members of staff have been amazing through their skill, kindness and compassion. They have not only cared for my sister but have also supported my family through the hardest few weeks and we can’t thank them enough.

I’m running the Great North Run to give something back to Newcastle Hospitals Charity to show my appreciation for what they have done this last month.
