Thank you for reading our Justgiving page!
This November, Annabelle is raising money for her amazing school, Ridgeway in Kempston, in order to help the school pay for air-conditioning units to be installed in every classroom.
This is an upgrade to the aging building that the school desperately needs as the summers get increasingly hotter and special needs schools are struggling financially to pay for such upgrades. This is so important as many of the children at Ridgeway, including Annabelle, have severe medical conditions that are exacerbated by heat, or they are less able to control their body temperature as they spend most their time in wheelchairs or struggle to swallow fluids. We want to make sure the school can adapt for future temperature rises, continue to operate safely and provide all the children with a better learning environment where they can concentrate and thrive.
At school and at home, Annabelle has been working hard on learning how to take forward steps in her walker. For anyone who knows her, this has been a massive challenge, requiring a lot of effort and determination on her part. Jack and I are so proud of how hard she works and we love seeing her starting to move independently.
This month, I’m setting Annabelle a challenge of taking 50 independent steps forward in her walker (this may be over several days!) to help raise money for this cause. If you can support her with the challenge, no matter how much - I would be so grateful.
Thank you! Xx
