As you may know my mum, Brenda Vaughan, lost her battle with cancer on 31 May 2015 in St Luke's Hospice in Cheshire. 10 years have now passed and mum is missed every day.

St Luke's cared for mum when she needed it the most. They looked after her and kept her free of pain.

They also looked after me, my dad, my two aunties and my uncle during this terrible time. I remember the nurses talking to me and dad to get us through the first couple of hours and making us toast. They were so very kind and I’m still grateful for this kindness 10 years on.

I hope I can raise some money in my mum's memory and as a thank you to St Luke's for looking after us all with such compassion and kindness.
