Story
In April, I will be running the London Marathon for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of my brother Tom who dedicated the last 3 years of his life to fundraising for Macmillan. In 2021, Tom completed the London Marathon for Macmillan while receiving treatment for stage 4 bowel cancer. He trained for the marathon through aggressive cancer treatment whilst suffering from debilitating side effects. He then continued to train throughout his battle with cancer and completed the 100km Race to the Stones to raise further funds for Macmillan.
I am not a long distance runner, I’ve never managed to run further than 2km. But the opportunity to follow in Tom’s footsteps by running the London marathon for Macmillan has motivated me to take on this huge challenge.
Please help me to raise as much as possible to support Macmillan to provide vital care to people living with cancer. Macmillan Cancer Support makes a huge difference to the lives of both individuals and families facing a cancer diagnosis. As I’m sure many of you do too, I know from personal experience the devastating impact that a cancer diagnosis has. Your donation, no matter the size, will support this amazing charity to help people when they need it most.
Thank you so much for helping me make a difference, your donation means a huge amount to me and the people supported by Macmillan.
