This charity is incredibly close to my heart. Not only do I have the privilege of working for this amazing charity, but my family has also been involved with them since 2018. What they do is truly incredible.

When the doors to this centre open, it’s genuinely going to change our family’s life — and the lives of so many other families too. It will provide a place where my son feels included, where he can access equipment that is fully accessible to him, and most importantly, a place where he can just be a kid without all the barriers that we face every single day as a family with a disabled child.

This challenge is completely out of my comfort zone, but it doesn’t even come close to the challenges our children face every day. If you’re able to support me in this run, I would be so grateful.

In summer 2026, Gympanzees will open the doors to the UK’s first ever fully accessible leisure facility for disabled children and young people.

The Gympanzees Project Home Appeal is fundraising £8 million to build an incredible, world-class centre that will be transformational for thousands of families who currently cannot access mainstream leisure and sport. The centre is expected to welcome over 200,000 visitors in its first year and will give children and young people a safe place to exercise, have fun, and build friendships.
