Story
We are raising funds for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home as our chosen Charity of the Year for 2026/2027, in memory of our dear friend and colleague, Prue Abrahams.
Prue was a much-loved member of our firm and someone who brought warmth, kindness, and compassion to everyone she worked with. Her impact on our firm extended far beyond her professional role, and she remains greatly missed by colleagues across the practice.
Anyone who knew Prue knew just how much she adored cats. Private Client department meetings rarely began without a cat update – whether it was a story, a photograph, or a funny anecdote shared among the team. These moments became a cherished part of working life and always brought smiles to those around her.
Prue’s love for cats reflected so much of who she was as a person. She approached life with genuine care, thoughtfulness, and generosity, always putting others first and creating a positive impact wherever she went.
Choosing to support Battersea Dogs & Cats Home feels like a fitting way to celebrate Prue’s life, honour her memory, and recognise the lasting influence she had on our firm and the people fortunate enough to know her.
As a law firm that has been part of the Battersea community for more than 125 years, supporting local causes is incredibly important to us.
Battersea Dogs & Cats Home has been transforming the lives of vulnerable animals for generations, providing expert care, rehabilitation, and opportunities for dogs and cats to find safe, loving homes. The charity plays a vital role within our local community, and we are honoured to support its work over the coming year.
Every contribution, no matter the size, helps provide care, shelter, and a brighter future for animals in need.
Prue’s kindness, warmth, and unwavering compassion touched many lives. Through our support of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, we hope to honour her memory in a way that reflects the values she embodied and the love she had for animals.
She will always remain a valued part of our firm’s story, and we are proud to celebrate her legacy through this charity.
