Story
A very warm hello from Sally and Lloyd, aka 'Happy Potting' ~
On September 11th-13th, 2026, we will be excitingly showcasing our "Once Upon a Time" Beautiful Borders Display at the Gardeners' World Autumn Fair. Something we've only ever dreamed of since our journey into the wonderful world of gardening as a passion and long-term hobby.
We're excited to share fun initiatives, giveaways and of course document as much fun and progress as possible with everyone on our Instagram throughout this adventure! You'll find us at @happypotting, so it'd be great to see you there!
This experience however is not simply about our creativity with compost and blooms, it's about raising awareness within a story of growth and possibilities, no matter the foundations <3

With this in mind, we're so happy to share our Beautiful Borders journey as we fundraise for Beat – the UK’s eating disorder charity.
--
Why Beat?
I, Sally, have been fortunate (but of course, in unfortunate circumstances) to have met some incredible warriors battling eating disorders in my own journey for well over half of my lifetime. Many of these people have fortunately gained vital and often urgently needed strength from guiding lights such as Beat, when mental healthcare and medical admission services remain at strain.
This is why I'd like to shine a grateful spotlight on Beat as my chosen charity, to raise funds or simply awareness in support of their care and efforts toward those who unfortunately do often feel helpless in their steps toward full recovery.
--
Eating disorders are complex, often misunderstood mental illnesses that can affect anyone, and they impact not just those who suffer but also their loved ones. Currently, at least 1.25 million people in the UK are living with an eating disorder, which means millions more are affected by the ripple effects of these challenges.
Our target is to raise £100 to support Beat's mission, with love.
--
There is always hope. With better understanding, faster diagnosis, and proper treatment, recovery is possible. Personal growth is achievable.
Beat provides invaluable emotional support and expert advice to those in need. They work tirelessly to change policies, perceptions, and lives for the better.
Together, we can end the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders and bring hope to those who need it most. Your support means everything!💜
