Story
Thank you sponsors! We have massively exceeded the target and raised an amazing amount of money. Your generosity is appreciated and made it all so worthwhile.
Our first group of walkers left the office at 9am last Friday to head over to Guildford Golf Club and back and then walking to Albury (pit stop at the Drummond!) and back to the office. Total distance, just under 13 miles!
The next team left at 1pm to repeat the route and this carried on every 4 hours until the last group left the office at 5am to finish around 9am on Saturday morning!
In total, we clocked up nearly 78 miles over the course of 24 hours, that's 6 half marathons and have the achy legs to prove it!
I will be providing a link to a video montage to show the highlights of the day. To follow....
What we did
On World Mental Health Day on the 10th October 2025, Harding embarked on a 24 walking relay around the streets of Guildford and Shalford!
We were lucky with the weather and have succeeded in meeting our new target of £3,000. We still have £500 to add from Harding!
Alex will donate an extra £500 from Harding!
Please, please help us to support such an important cause. Mental health can impact us all at points in our life and the work that Mind can do can make such a difference to people's lives.
Why did we choose Mind?
Mind is a crucial charity because it provides essential support and advocacy for individuals experiencing mental health problems. Their mission is to ensure that everyone facing mental health challenges receives the respect and help they need. Mind offers a range of services, including crisis helplines, counselling, and supported housing, and they campaign to improve mental health services and raise awareness.
In the UK, mental health issues are widespread. Approximately 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem each year. Additionally, 1 in 6 people report experiencing a common mental health problem, such as anxiety or depression, in any given week.
These statistics highlight the importance of organizations like Mind in providing support and advocating for better mental health care.
