Early this October, I am taking part in “Group Tech – Shakespeare Walking Challenge” to raise funds for Maggie’s Centres. Joining several Barclays colleagues, I will cover half-marathon distance across the birthplace of Shakespeare.

This walking challenge aims to raise important funds for Maggie's Centres. Built in the grounds of 24 NHS cancer hospitals, Maggie’s offers free practical, psychological and financial support to people with cancer and their families and friends.

Having lost my father to cancer in 2022, I can relate to the impact cancer has on families and friends. Maggie's Centres are designed to be more like a home than a hospital, providing a calm and friendly place where people with cancer can find the hope, determination and resources they need to cope with one of the toughest challenges any of us is likely to have to face.
