Story
Last Saturday I took part in the South Downs Challenge and completed a 43mile walk across the South Downs from Eastbourne to Hove. It was the most physically challenging thing I have ever done.
To mark my achievement I would like to raise money for a breast cancer charity, as my own mum was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Thankfully the cancer was caught in time for successful treatment and she is now recovering well after a big operation. She has been looked after by so many amazing people and I wanted to find a way to thank at least one of the organisations who looked after her and help them to continue to provide care for as many other women as possible .
I would be grateful for any donation towards the breast cancer charity Restore. Details of the amazing work they do can be found here: https://restore-bcr.co.uk/
One of the many amazing things they do is provide women with a care package when they wake up from their operations which contains an incredibly thoughtful collection of items, such as ear plugs and a cushion to hold against painful wounds when coughing or sneezing. Small items such as this help enormously to make those first painful days on a busy hospital ward a little more comfortable.
I would be so grateful if you could spare a few pounds to help me raise my target of £500 for Restore.
