Riding 100 Miles for LOROS on Saturday 6th September – In Memory of My Dad
Hello everyone,
This year, I’ve signed up for a challenge that’s well outside my comfort zone: cycling 100 miles around Leicestershire in support of LOROS Hospice, a charity that provides compassionate end-of-life care to patients and their families.
I'm not a cyclist (yet!)—but I’m doing this ride to honour someone who truly was.
My dad had a passion for cycling long before it became trendy. He used to cycle to work every day, rain or shine, and after his regular job, he’d get back on his bike and ride to different homes in the community to fix their doors, locks, and windows. For him, the bike wasn’t just transport—it was a tool of independence, service, and quiet strength.
This ride is my way of reconnecting with that spirit—and giving back at the same time. LOROS does incredible work for people and families facing terminal illness, and your donation—big or small—will directly support their care, comfort, and dignity.
So please support me if you can, and help me pedal every mile with purpose.
Thank you
Harry
