For 2025/26, the team at Harold Sharp Limited have voted to support Cyril Flint as our Charity of the Year. Cyril Flint plays a crucial role in supporting lonely and isolated members of our local community.

About Cyril Flint

Cyril Flint Befrienders is working to combat social isolation & loneliness in older residents in Trafford & South Manchester areas, by providing a free one-to-one befriending service.

Loneliness can be as harmful to our health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day & can be linked to cognitive decline and the early onset of dementia.

Our befriending is a welcome life-line to many older people who feel forgotten about by society. Our volunteers are trained & DBS checked & are matched based on shared interests to encourage long lasting friendships.
