Story
I'm embarking on an extraordinary journey this October—a 50-kilometer trek across the vast expanse of the Sahara Desert—to raise vital funds for St Luke's Cheshire Hospice. This challenge will see me navigating scorching daytime temperatures of up to 35°C, traversing diverse terrains from sun-baked plains to towering sand dunes, and camping under the mesmerising Saharan night sky.
This cause is profoundly personal to me. In his final days, my Grandad received exceptional care from St Luke's. Their compassionate team provided not only medical support but also emotional comfort to him and our entire family, ensuring his dignity and peace until the very end.
St Luke's Cheshire Hospice has been a beacon of hope and support for countless families, offering free, specialist palliative care to those living with life-limiting illnesses in our community. Their services, ranging from inpatient care to home support, are invaluable, and they rely heavily on donations to continue their mission.
By supporting my Sahara trek, you're contributing to the continuation of these essential services. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to ensuring that others receive the same compassionate care that my Grandad did.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
