Story
On October 24th 06.41am, I was woken by a phone call you’d only receive in a nightmare. The news that my life long best friend Tyler, had taken his life at just 22 years old.
I could write a book on Tyler. His likes, dislikes, beliefs. But it wouldn’t include his battle with his mental health, because it’s something he kept completely sealed.
Unfortunately it’s a subject boys, young men and adults don’t think they can express. This shouldn’t be the case. It’s not shameful, embarrassing or a weakness.
It’s okay to feel like shit! It’s more than okay. The stigma behind mental health is what’s not okay.
On August 1st 2026 Myself and my partner Fin will be taking on the 24 hour, Three peak challenge. Raising awareness for my chosen charity- KICK START F.C
This challenge summary is to summit the 3 highest peaks in the uk. Ben Nevis (Scotland) Snowdon (north wales) and Scafell pike (lake district) all within a time limit of 24 hours including travel time between mountains, with time stamps and video evidence.
This incredible local charity helps young men struggling silently with mental illnesses through the power of football. Getting out and being active is the best mind healer. Kick start F.C doesn’t make small talk, or create awkward situations. They get you on a pitch with other young men feeling just as you do.
Please give it a go! Thursdays 7pm-8pm, Tidworth astroturf. It is 16+ and completely free, just give them a message so they are aware on numbers.
Il be aiming to raise £1000 to go towards this charity so they can continue to help young men, ease the battle.
Any donations big or small would be so amazing, please don’t feel as if you need to donate, Sharing my page will help just as much.
Thank you for reading!!🗻🗻
