Story
The Croft was my back garden and second home in Leith, it provided me with great purpose and temporary employment during some of the darkest days of COVID, for that I will be eternally grateful.
Craig and I are going to turn up and do a few laps - we'll do our best!
If you can give the price of a coffee or more or equally wait to see how many km's we can do any amount is much appreciated to help this wonderful organisation survive!
A Story of Resilience and Renewal
Twelve years ago, a group of Leithers looked at a neglected patch of common good land and saw more than wasteland. They saw possibility. With spades, hope and sheer community grit, they reclaimed it and began to grow something remarkable: Leith Community Croft.
But the path hasn’t been smooth. The Croft has weathered lots of shocks: from economic turbulence that squeezes the lifeblood out of grassroots efforts; bad weather that batters social enterprises and stalls momentum; red tape that slows projects needing nimble responses; all this drains energy from a small team already stretched to thin.
That is why in January we are doing what this community does best: coming together! We will wrap the Croft in a living, moving circle of care - through running laps of the Croft and raise £10,000 to protect this vital space.
Every lap is a statement.
Every step says: this place matters.
Give what you can to help the Croft survive and thrive
