Having carried out a few sea training swims I can confirm I still get seasick from swimming in the sea. Along with feeling sick, being taken down by waves and realising how thirsty swimming in salt water makes you, I have chosen to participate in swimming the channel from Albania to Corfu.

The route can be challenging with last year seeing high winds and stormy weather, we are hoping for much calmer conditions for 2023.

Daisy, Lucy, Sian and I will take on the swim not for the challenge but primarily to raise money - this is a charity event.

The Ionian Environment Foundation will donate money to 4 local charities this year, focusing on Education, Protection and Sustainability of the Seas and marine environment, along with the supporting The Smile of A Child (more details in the link below) :
