As some of you may know, my beautiful best friend Dolly (Leanne Robinson) lost her battle to stage 4 cancer on the 26th August 2022.

Dolly turned 30 in January 2022 and was diagnosed at the start of April 2022. After her diagnosis Dolly wanted to do everything she could to raise awareness of the disease and how silent it can be. She started an Instagram account to share her journey and wanted to reach as many people with her story as she could.

Her passion to drive awareness was inspiring and is something I’ve thought about since. Nothing will ever feel substantial enough, but I’m hoping that challenging myself to 30 events between her diagnosis date and her 1 year anniversary will raise funds for such an incredible charity in her memory.

The events will vary from Race for Life events, Fun Runs, 5K, 10K or even lengthy walks. I’m pushing myself to complete at least 6 a month and setting myself the challenge of climbing Snowdon on the 26th August 2023, her one year anniversary.
