Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Stroke therapy/rehabilitation can often feel like a marathon to patients, but through hard work and perseverance we see our patients improve, achieve their goals and enhance independence on a daily basis.
As a therapy department, we are going to complete a Walkathon around War Memorial Park to raise money for equipment to use within therapy sessions on the stroke ward at UHCW.
There are approximately 1.3 million stroke survivors currently living in the UK, with a new stroke striking approximately every 5 minutes. Stroke is a type of cerebrovascular disease, which is one of the leading causes of death in the UK.
Any donations to make our therapy sessions more interactive and fun for patients would be greatly appreciated, a little goes a long way!!
And please feel free to come and join us for a lap at War Memorial Park if you are able to do so!
Thank you in advance.
