Story
A few years ago I had the privilege and challenge to co-found the charity Yada. I was part of a team of 3 women who had a heart to support women at risk of sexual exploitation and to see them for who they are beyond all the stigma and the labels that might have been given to them.
It was an incredible journey that pushed us, tested us and we learnt and grew so much. It was also slow going and laborious at times as we built our service, connected with other local projects and organisations and laid the foundations of the charity.
I finished working for Yada in 2019 and I always knew that it would grow and change greatly in the years to come. It has been with such joy that I have seen how Yada has moved forwards as a charity, how much they are doing along the South Coast of Sussex not only to reach out to women but also to train and up-skill the rest of the frontline community.
I am so happy to be doing something small for them again and any donation would be very gratefully received.
If you are a Brighton based person, please do come along and give me a shout on the day as I get myself around the course!
