Research into thyroid disease is vital. That's why we set up our annual BTF Research Award 25 years ago. Since then, we've invested over £500k into research to help improve patient outcomes. With your help we can continue funding thyroid research.

Story

TOTAL GOAL: £100- £50 on Facebook and £50 on JustGiving.

Over the next two months, I am going to be doing at least one hour of exercise a day raising money for the British Thyroid Foundation (which I have been aiming to do for a while but life and work have got in the way of me achieving this). I’m not too sure how I will get this done with two weeks in India in Feb but let’s try it. Some of you know and some of you don't know that three years ago I found out that I have had a significant thyroid issue my whole life and I have had a number of flair ups in the past year while we are trying to find the correct treatment for me. This has been impacting me more than I have been wanting to admit, and it is something that nobody ever talks about and that there are loads of assumptions about. this will hopefully not only motivate my own personal goals, but raise some money for a lesser known charity.

The British Thyroid Foundation (BTF) is a charity dedicated to supporting people with thyroid disorders and helping their families and people around them to understand the condition. Since setting up in 1991 we have worked with medical professionals to ensure that the information we provide is reliable and evidence-based.
