Story
Friends of Lewes Victoria Hospital (FOLVH) are sending a great team of runners to run Brighton Half Marathon on Sunday 1st March 2026. Sponsor them here please !
Our Team FOLVH BHM26 include these wonderful runners
Richard Bailey,
Florence Bailey,
James Mepham,
Jon Sward,
Helen Tilling,
Florrie Wormold,
Harriet Sallis,
Jessica Pryor,
All are running the Brighton Half Marathon to raise funds for Lewes Victoria Hospital to provide equipment to help the staff deliver the best diagnosis, treatment and care to people in this community. Please do add your sponsor donation to this page.
Our Team FOLVH BHM 26 listed above are extremely proud to run for this charity and very grateful for your sponsoring gift!
To be clear: The money raised will be spent on equipment. For a record of the equipment purchased recently includes equipment used for Swift Diagnostics such as X-ray equipment, DEXA and Ultrasound scanners. Equipment for the Surgical Unit including an Ophthalmology chair, a Diathermy unit and Surgical trolley beds.
Each runner is aiming to raise at least £300 in sponsorship and the good news is that the team is off to a flying start as Richard Bailey has already donated £592. His donation has been matched by his company. We are pleased with this strong launch. (Having said that, it won’t show up on this page as it will be paid directly from Richards employer to the Treasurer of Friends of Lewes Victoria Hospital).
Thank you also to our wonderful volunteers that will be there to help on the day including our regular reliable helper who has got up at the crack of the dawn to help for three years in a row at the BHM runs now, Jane Sallis.
We all love this run in Brighton and thank the donors, the runners and the volunteers for supporting this important cause and also Brighton Half Marathon. Looking forward to the big day. Crossing fingers it will be sunny! Wish the team luck and sponsor them. We will be posting more stories about this group of runners soon.
