The friends of Bolton on Swale school are a small, friendly group of parents, staff, carers and grandparents. We organise and run events and fundraising activities throughout the year in order to provide additional activities for our families and their children. We believe that we are a valuable asset to the school and without our efforts the children would not be able to access some of the additional activities within school and in the wider community that we help to fund.

Story

Harris (& his mum, Julia) will be doing a charity walk over >3 miles to raise funds to support Harris' school (Bolton-on-Swale St Mary’s Primary School). As you may know, the school urgently needs your help to raise £10,000 to fix the school roof!

Harris' lovely little school was built in 1975 and the original roof is now 50 years old! The children will tell you - with typical honesty - that it sometimes rains in on very wet days!

The total cost of the project is £227,000 and thanks to generate support from the Department for Education and the Diocese of Leeds, the school has already secured funding for part of the project.

Now, the school community is tasked with raising the remaining £10,000. Harris' walk aims to contribute to that £10,000.

This is not just about fixing a roof; it’s about ensuring a safe and secure environment for our children to learn and grow. Every child deserves a school that they can be proud of, and with your support, we can help achieve this together!

I know times are hard for a lot of people at the moment so any amount you are able to donate, big or small, will be greatly appreciated.

All funds raised will be sent directly to the PTA (Friends of Bolton-on-Swale St Mary’s Primary School, a registered charity).
