Harris boys cycling for Open Doors

Kyle Harris is raising money for Open Doors

Cycling 750 miles during Lent · 18 February 2026

Open Doors provides practical support like food, medicine, housing, clean water and education as well as micro-loans to start businesses to persecuted Christians worldwide. We also provide Bibles, Christian literature, training, literacy programmes and trauma training. We work in over 70 countries.

Story

Two years after their first cycling challenge, the Harris boys are getting back on their saddles!

This Lent, Kyle, Seth, and Judah will be cycling a combined 750 miles to raise money for Open Doors. Open Doors is a charity that works in over 50 countries supporting Christians who are persecuted for their faith. They provide emergency relief, Bibles and support to churches. Additionally, they advocate for religious freedom. The boys have chosen to cycle 750 miles as this is the approx width of Nigeria - the country with the highest number of Christians being killed for their faith with an estimated 5000 killed last year alone 😢

In cycling these miles the boys not only want to raise vital funds for Open Doors but to also raise awareness of the plight of our brothers and sisters in Sub-Saharan Africa.

We would love to raise £750 to go directly towards the work of Open Doors. If you’re able to donate a few pounds, we would be so grateful — you can do so using the JustGiving link below.

We’ll keep you updated on their progress along the way, and if you’d like to join them for a few miles along the Greenway, just let us know 😉

Many Thanks
