Story
The Huntington’s Disease Association is a beacon of hope for individuals and families affected by Huntington’s disease across England and Wales. We are dedicated to pursuing the best possible care, providing essential training and advice to families and professionals, raising awareness about this challenging condition, and promoting vital research aimed at improving treatment and care.
This year, I’m taking on my first-ever marathon—the Manchester Marathon on April 27, 2025—for a cause that’s personal to me. My mum has Huntington’s disease, and I’ve seen firsthand how tough it can be, not just for those diagnosed but for their families too. There’s currently no cure, and the disease affects every part of life. That’s why I’m running to raise awareness and funds for the Huntington’s Disease Association, a charity that provides vital support, information, and hope to those affected.
Running a marathon is a huge challenge, but it’s nothing compared to what families dealing with Huntington’s face every day. The Huntington’s Disease Association does incredible work, from funding crucial research into treatments to offering support for those who need it most. But they rely on donations to keep going.
I’ve set a fundraising target of £500, and every donation, big or small, will help make a real difference. Your support will go directly towards helping families get the advice and care they need, as well as funding ongoing research to improve treatment options in the future.
If you can, please consider donating. It’ll mean a lot to me and even more to the people who rely on this charity. Every pound raised brings us closer to better care, better treatments, and, hopefully, a cure.
Thank you for your support!
