On Saturday 14th June, we will be running in the Great Knaresborough bed race (for the very first time!)

The Great Knaresborough Bed Race is the pinnacle of British entertainment, pitting 90 teams of highly motivated runners against each other as they push a metal bedframe around the town of Knaresborough.

Each team runs for a different reason. Some run for pride, others for fun, but most run to raise awareness for their chosen cause.

Our team will be running proudly for Harrogate Neighbours, to raise awareness for the incredible work that the charity does to care for the elderly in our community.

The team is comprised of some supporters of the charity, men who believe in what Harrogate Neighbours does, and are willing to get very sweaty in order to prove it.

The Great Knaresborough Bed Race is a mighty pageant of decorated beds, passengers and runners, combined with a gruelling athletic contest around a course of 2.4 miles. This year's theme is "TV Adverts", so as well as running the course, the team are responsible for decorating the metal frame.
