Three Peaks Challenge · 30 May 2026

The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon, in 24 hours. It covers 23 miles on foot, 3,064m of ascent, and 462 miles of driving between peaks.

Story

A group of us are doing the National Three Peaks Challenge in support of Chance to Shine - an incredible charity that help to inspire, educate, and empower young people through cricket across the UK.

It’s a tough challenge, but every step will help give more children the chance to play, learn, and grow through cricket.

This challenge started off as a bit of joke, as i saw the challenge posted up on the chance to shine website, and told my Dad we should do it. He then called a friend of his, Matt, who was very eager to do it. So now on the 30th May 2026 a group of us are attempting the three peaks challenge.

The challenge involves climbing the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis – 1,344m), England (Scafell Pike – 978m), and Wales (Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa – 1,085m), all within 24 hours. That’s around 26 miles on foot and nearly 3,000 meters of ascent.

We are doing this challenge for my late grandfather, who passed away earlier this year. He loved cricket and it gave him so much in return. I still remember the story he told so often of him opening the bowling to his headmaster, just to bowl bouncers at him and be given a detention the next day because of it!

Thanks for taking the time out of your day to read this and i appreciate any donations.
