Story

I will be attempting to hike the length of New Zealand from the most northern point, Cape Reinga, to the most southern point, Bluff, via the 3000km Te Araroa trail. I will be raising money in memory of my wonderful Mum, who as many of you will know, we lost to a brain tumour 11 years ago. For those of you who don’t know, it was something that all happened very fast with only 3 months between diagnosis and her passing. In the past 11 years, I have heard of so many others who have experienced similar situations of losing loved ones to brain tumours. Cancer is something that has affected almost all of us in some way or another. Together with more money for research, treatments may be found to help all of those affected.

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we're moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour. We're set on finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support and driving urgent change. And we're doing it right now. Because we understand that when you, or someone you love, is diagnosed with a brain tumour a cure really can't wait.
