In memory of Harry Conway

Brad Bell is raising money for The Kano Foundation
In memory of Harry Conway
The Kano Foundation is a charity run by volunteers passionate about keeping football free for kids. We believe attending professional sporting events is something that all children should be able to experience regardless of background and circumstance.

Story

Harry Conway

July 14, 1939 – September 4, 2026

A lifelong Celtic supporter and Sergeant at Arms of the San Francisco Celtic Supporters Club. Harry passed peacefully, with his family around him.

The Kano Foundation was his favorite charity, and in lieu of flowers his family have asked that donations go there in his name.

Kano takes children to Celtic Park for free — 150 kids every home match, more than 15,000 so far. Volunteers feed them, give every child a green-and-white scarf, and walk them to the ground. They call it the modern lift over the turnstile. It's how a lot of men of Harry's generation saw their first game.

About £15 takes one child to a game. Harry had a lifetime of Celtic. This gives some kids their first afternoon of it, in his name.

You'll Never Walk Alone.
