Manchester Marathon for Alzheimer's Society

Harry Davis is raising money for Alzheimer's Society

adidas Manchester Marathon 2026 · 19 April 2026 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

In April 2026, I will be running the Manchester Marathon in aid of Alzheimer's Society. This is a deeply personal cause because my Grandad has dementia, therefore I know first-hand how it affects not only the individual but also their family. To watch someone you looked up to as a child slowly deteriorate over several years is heartbreaking, and has now inspired me to help make a difference.

Due to the fantastic and vital work that Alzheimer's Society does to support those living with dementia and provide hope for the future, I am proud to dedicate my first marathon to this cause - and to my Grandad.

Every donation will help make a difference, and with your support I'm sure we can reach - or even exceed - the fundraising goal.

Thanks for all of your support!
