Last year, our family received the devastating news that my Mum, Paula, had been diagnosed with throat cancer.

During this time St Raphael's have been able to provide incredible care whilst my Mum continues her battle, like the fighter she is. A cause that was already close to my family's heart, with family members receiving wonderful end of life treatment, our gratitude and appreciation for everything they do has only been strengthened.

Mum has dedicated many years to St Raphael's selflessly supporting patients to make their final days special and was even recognised with a national award!

In honour, of her, I will be running the London Marathon to raise much needed funds for the hospice. I hope to make her as proud of me, as I am of her!
