On Friday, April 3rd, I’ll be taking on the Manchester → Liverpool 50 Mile Ultra to raise funds for Manchester MediCinema Appeal.

Every year, hundreds of children are admitted to Manchester Children’s Hospital. Of course, long stays are incredibly isolating, stressful, and worrying—not just for the children, but their families too.

Manchester Trust Foundation is well on the way to raising enough funds (£1.1m) to transform an old lecture hall into a 50-seat, state-of-the-art cinema! This space will be carefully designed to welcome wheelchairs, hospital beds, and medical equipment, and be supported by nurses and trained volunteers, offering hundreds of screenings every year.

Your donation, no matter what size, will give children—and their families—the chance to relax, escape and experience the magic of the cinema, from within the hospital grounds.
