In 2011 friends of Woodlands and Hill Brow set up the registered charity Families Supporting Care. The aim of the charity is to help support residents whose funds diminish during their stay alongside providing additional relief as required. Over the last 10 years the charity has helped over 60 residents stay in their chosen care home. The charity is independently managed by the trustees, all of whom have experienced a loved one in care and can often be seen volunteering around the homes. Funds are generally raised through a number of social events held throughout the year. The charity also receives individual donations from relatives and residents which help the charity fulfil its aim. Your donation today helps the charity provide ongoing support to those in need. Thank you

Story

We are jumping out of a perfectly good airplane... please make it worth it.

Hi

We've made a questionable life choice: We've agreed to throw ourselves out of a plane from 10,000 feet — and no, we are not being chased.

Why?

In 2011 friends of Woodlands and Hill Brow carr homes, set up the local registered charity named:

Families Supporting Care.

The aim of the charity is to help support residents whose funds diminish during their stay alongside providing additional relief as required. Over the years the charity has helped over 60 residents stay in their chosen care home.

Apparently dangling in mid-air by a glorified bedsheet is how we do fundraising these days.

Please donate — even a few quid can make a big difference.

Thank you for supporting me and Matty… and making this madness worthwhile!
