Story
As a child I was blessed that I had parents who saw the importance of sport. I grew up playing many sports both individual and team. Participating in sport taught me important life skills such as resilience, hard work, perseverance and communication. It is my belief that all children should have the opportunity to participate in sport no matter their starting points in life or disability.
This year I have the honour of running the London Marathon for ‘Get Kids Going’. The charity inspires disabled youngsters to compete in sporting events, from grassroots to paralympic level, by also giving them sports grants to help with their: training, physiotherapy, sports psychology, travel, competition fees and the design and development of sports’ equipment.
I am so pleased I have the opportunity to impact young people in such a positive way. If you are able to, please support me by donating to this amazing charity and let’s ensure barriers to sport are broken so more children have the chance to be active and sporty.
Thank you,
Harry
