Story

🔥 Oxford Half Marathon in Firefighting Gear – Supporting The Fire Fighters Charity 🔥

This October, FF Gurl, FF Colling and CM Holland from Witney Fire Station will be taking on a challenge that’s hotter than most…

We’re running the Oxford Half Marathon — not in running shorts but in firefighting PPE: trousers, tunic, and all!

We’re doing this to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity, which provides vital mental, physical, and social support to firefighters, past and present, and their families. Whether it’s recovery from injury, trauma, or supporting those who’ve dedicated their lives to protecting others, this charity is always there when we need them — now it’s our turn to give back.

This run is also deeply personal.

We’re running in memory of Firefighter Jennie Logan and Firefighter Martyn Sadler, who tragically lost their lives while responding to a fire in Bicester in May this year. Their bravery, dedication, and service will never be forgotten — and we carry their memory with every step we take.

Running 13.1 miles is tough enough — but doing it in kit weighing over 20kg is a whole new level. We’ll be pushing through the heat, the weight, and the pain in honour of Jenny, Martin, and all those who serve.

Please support us if you can. Every donation — no matter how small — helps make a real difference.
