Story
On 17th June 2026, our lives changed forever when we lost our beautiful son Harry, aged just 25.
Harry was loved beyond words. He had his whole life ahead of him, but behind the person we all knew and loved, he had been struggling with gambling and the financial pressures that came with it.
We now know just how devastating gambling addiction can be. It doesn’t just affect finances, it can take over someone’s life, their thoughts and their ability to see a way out.
We never imagined this could happen to our family. Like so many others, we didn’t fully understand the dangers of gambling or how quickly someone can become trapped by it until it was too late.
We are raising money in Harry’s memory for Gambling with Lives, a charity founded by families bereaved by gambling related suicide. They support families who have experienced this unimaginable loss and campaign for changes that could help prevent other families from going through the same heartbreak.
Harry’s Dad Karl, his Uncle Alan, and his cousin Charlie will be taking on the 3 Peaks Challenge, pushing themselves physically and mentally in Harry’s name. Every step they take will be for Harry, and for every family who should never have to go through this pain.
If sharing Harry’s story can make even one person recognise that they need help, encourage one family to ask the right questions, or contribute towards changes that save another life, then his story will have made a difference.
No family should have to lose their son, daughter, brother, sister, partner or friend because of gambling.
We can’t change what happened to Harry, but we can try to make something positive happen in his name.
Please donate if you are able to, no matter how small. And if you can’t donate, simply sharing this page and helping raise awareness would mean just as much to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Harry’s family ❤️
