Story

🌈 BRINGING BACK SMILES 🌈

Nelson's Journey: Helping children and young people in Norfolk cope with the loss of a significant person.

I'm running the Edinburgh Marathon and raising money for Nelson's Journey!

How did this all come about?

Catching up with an old friend over a bottle of wine, I found myself spontaneously committed to the marathon... high on my bucket list anyway and a great way to focus on fitness in 2024…

And then I came across Nelson's Journey; it struck a chord as a father of three.

This incredible Norfolk charity provides vital support for children and young people grieving the loss of a loved one.

I feel incredibly lucky to have a healthy family but many children are facing the loss of someone special alone.

Just £2 could fund a memory jar to give children a way of capture memories of a loved one.

£10 funds a method of opening communication within a family and provides a therapeutic approach to solving anxieties.

£25 could fund an online or phone 1:1 session with dedicated and trained staff for a child facing grief.

As I run 26 miles, I'm setting my initial fundraising target at £260 - that's a tenner a mile!🏃‍♂️🌟

UPDATE! THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO HELPED ME HIT THIS TARGET!

I'm now aiming for £2000 total!

Your support for this wonderful charity is gratefully received.

Thank You
