Story
The reason why I am running this half marathon is to help the grand Appeal support families in what I can only describe as the hardest time of my life you see, Me and Anna had our first baby on the 21st of May 2016 at 33 weeks and 4 days old.
In The space of less that four hours Bradley was throwing up bile and had to be rushed down to Bristol hospital for surgery meanwhile Anna's liver had failed and wasn't fit to travel anywhere.
I travelled down with Bradley to Bristol not knowing whether either of them was going to survive the next hours.
When we arrived and for the next two or so hours I sat next to Bradley's bed in the intensive care until of nicu not wanting to close my eyes to not miss a second with this beautiful boy at which point one of the amazing nurses told me I needed to get some sleep and I ended up sleeping in the waiting room.
The next day Bradley was taken into surgery and I was left with a whole host of questions and not much else, facing the fact I would have to spend what looks as if months off work and trying to find a hotel (which I couldn't afford) for the time being here.
however very quickly I was approached by the grand Appeal who offered me a room and base where I could stay while Bradley was being looked after.
Luckily my superstar cane out of surgery with nothing more than the stitching in his belly and Anna was able to be moved down from gloucester once she was stable.
We ended up staying in Bristol for two or so weeks and cots 4 tots or the grand Appeal made that time just that little bit less stressful and everyone was so supportive In a very hard but special time.
