Story
In April 2026, I will be taking on the London Marathon – a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I am both excited and humbled to run.
I have been chosen to run for Faversham Pools, a place that has been such an important part of my life. I first learnt to swim here as a child, I spent many of my summer holidays with friends, and later in life, I was lucky enough to work at the Pools for five years. That was nine years ago now, but the experience, memories, and friendships from my time there have never left me.
The Pools are a vital part of the local community, providing not only a place to swim but also a safe, welcoming environment that has supported generations of families – just like mine. By running the London Marathon, I hope to give something back to the place that gave me so much.
My fundraising target is £2,500, and every donation – no matter the size – will make a huge difference in helping the Pools continue to thrive and serve our community.
Thank you so much for your support. Together, we can keep this special place going for many more childhoods, summer holidays, and swimming lessons to come.
