🌟 Harry’s 40-Mile Christmas Challenge! 🌟
Raising money for Autism Anglia
Hi, I’m Harry’s mum — and I’m here proudly (and slightly nervously!) sharing that Harry has decided to walk 40 miles over the month of December to raise money for Autism Anglia.
Yes… December. Cold, wet, dark December. When normal people stay inside with hot chocolate. But not Harry! 😅
For those who don’t know, life hasn’t always been easy for him. Harry is autistic among other things and has faced additional mobility challenges, including scoliosis, which thankfully was corrected through surgery — he’s gone through alot and has come out strong, brave, resilient and more determined than ever. 💪
Now he wants to test his walking and motivation skills, push himself in a way he’s never done before, and help others at the same time.
He’s thinking about college, independence and his future — and he knows first-hand how much support makes a difference for autistic young people navigating these next steps in life.
That’s why he chose Autism Anglia, a brilliant local charity whose work really does change lives. They rely heavily on fundraising to provide services for autistic children, adults and their families — whether through specialist school support, adult services or help out in the community.
If you have any spare £ at the moment (no pressure whatsoever, we mean it!) Harry would be so grateful. Every pound helps Autism Anglia support young people like him to live full, independent and happy lives.
👣 Fancy joining him for a walk? We’d love that! There will be walks happening in Manningtree and St Ives — so if you’re up for some fresh air, encouragement and maybe a bit of mutual moaning halfway round, let us know and we’ll organise it.
We’ll be sharing updates throughout the month, so please follow along, cheer him on, laugh with us when the mileage starts to catch up, and celebrate every win.
Thank you, for reading, sharing, supporting or donating. It all means more than you know. 💙
Here’s to Harry — and to proving to himself (and all of us) just how far he can go. 🌟
Lots of love,
Nic
