Later this year, I’ll be running my first marathon in Lisbon, followed by the Paris marathon next year. I'm running in memory of my amazing Grandad, who we sadly lost late last year. He was a true role model in my life - kind, strong and always cheering me on.

It's more than just a personal goal, it's a tribute to his life and the impact he had on everyone around him from his hometown of Jarrow to working in Zambia.

I'm taking on this challenge to raise money for Kidney Research UK, a cause close to our hearts. They're doing incredible work in fighting kidney disease through vital research, better treatments, and one day, a cure.

Although there's no official fundraising target due to it being an international marathon, I still want to do what I can to support their incredible work. Every donation, big or small, will help fund life changing research and make a real difference.
