Half of all donations will be going directly to support Chester Scouts Norway 2024

In August 2024, 36 Explorers from across Chester and District will be traveling to Norway for a week-long expedition.We are fundraising to cover part of the cost and make sure that the trip is accessible to everyone

The other half of all donations will be given to support the diagnosis of rare genetic diseases, such as muscular dystrophy

For the last 9 years, my Mum has been fighting for the diagnosis of a very rare, genetic, muscular dystrophy. This disease causes significant muscle weakness and fatigue, affecting mobility and independence, with symptoms getting worse over time. Without a specific diagnosis, medication or treatments cannot be prescribed. Although the NHS has done an amazing job in reaching this point, they require extra funding to conduct more, in-depth, genetic testing. The money donated will be passed onto a charity which the NHS can apply to for funding specific cases. Walking the National 3 Peaks Challenge will be an especially hard for me, as I am also affected by the same form of muscular dystrophy
