Running the Shakespeare Marathon 2026 for The Brain Tumour Charity – For My Dad
In 2026 I’ll be running the Shakespeare Marathon to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity, in honour of my dad.
My dad is currently battling glioblastoma, one of the most aggressive and devastating forms of brain cancer. Watching someone you love go through this disease is incredibly difficult, and it’s something no family should have to face.
My dad has always been a huge support in my life. Growing up, he was always there — standing on the sidelines at my rugby matches and cheering me on.
When I decided to pursue singing and start my own entertainment business, he backed me all the way and believed in me from the very beginning.
One of my proudest moments was finishing the London Marathon in 2022, and my dad was there waiting for me at the finish line. Seeing him there meant everything to me. Sadly, because of this cruel disease, he won’t be well enough to be there this time.
My dad is also a huge Chelsea fan, and sitting next to him at Stamford Bridge over the years has always been one of our favourite ways to spend time together.
That’s why I’m running the Shakespeare Marathon for him. I might even be tempted to run it in a Chelsea shirt in his honour… as long as it doesn’t put anyone off donating! 😂
Glioblastoma is an extremely aggressive brain tumour with devastating survival rates. Treatment options have barely changed in decades, and despite brain tumours killing more children and adults under 40 than any other cancer, research into the disease remains significantly underfunded.
By supporting this fundraiser for The Brain Tumour Charity, you’re helping fund vital research and support families affected by brain tumours.
Every donation, no matter how small, will mean the world to me and my family.
Thank you so much for your support.
